Getting Here

In which part of the city are your hotels located?

Depends which V you’re crashing at.

Fizeaustraat : Tucked away in East Amsterdam (Amsteldorp, if you want to sound local). Leafy streets, hidden gems, zero tourist traps.

Nesplein: In the heart of the city, right in the old theatre district. Steps from Dam Square, wrapped in canals. The real stage is outside your window.

Frederiksplein: Central but lowkey. Next to the canals, near the Albert Cuyp market, walking distance to Museumplein. Classic Amsterdam, minus the clichés.

What is the address of each Hotel V location?

No mysteries here, just three spots to drop your bags

Fizeaustraat: Fizeaustraat 2, right behind Amstel Station. Easy come, easy go.
Nesplein: Nes 49, just a heartbeat from Dam Square and Rokin.
Frederiksplein: Weteringschans 136, 1017 XV Amsterdam. Or V-Lofts are located in another building just around the corner!

Easy to find, impossible to forget.

How do I get to each hotel from Schiphol airport by public transport?

Pick your V, then follow the tracks.

Nesplein
Take the Intercity train from Schiphol to Amsterdam Central (leaves every 10 minutes, ride takes about 15 minutes). From there, it’s a 10-minute walk to the hotel. Total travel time: 20–25 minutes.
One-way ticket: ~€5. Get it at the machine, card only.

Frederiksplein
Take the Intercity train from Schiphol to Amsterdam Central (leaves every 10 minutes, ride takes about 15 minutes). From there, hop on Tram 4 and get off at Frederiksplein (about 20 minutes).
Buy your tram ticket onboard (card only). Want to explore more? A 24-hour ticket might be worth it. Don’t forget to check out.

Fizeaustraat
Take the Intercity train from Schiphol to Amsterdam Zuid (leaves every 10 minutes, ride takes about 10 minutes). Then switch to Metro 51 to Amstel Station. From there, it’s an 8-minute walk. Total trip: 25–30 minutes.
Cards only, no coins, no stres

How do I get to each hotel from Schiphol airport by taxi?

There’s a taxi queue waiting outside Schiphol. But honestly? It’s easier with an app.

Use Uber, Bolt or ViaVan. Order straight from your phone, see who’s picking you up, and spot the car by the license plate. Smooth and simple.

Travel time is 20 to 50 minutes, depending on which V you’re staying at.

What are the parking options at each Hotel V location?

Fizeaustraat
On-site indoor parking. Easy in, easy out. Perfect for overnighters or just dropping by.

Nesplein
We’ve teamed up with Q Park Nieuwendijk, just 200 meters from the hotel. Special guest rate starts at €27.50 per day. Book online to lock it in.

Frederiksplein
Valet parking, V style. Forty euros for the first night, then thirty five per 24 hours. Book it at the front desk when you arrive. No apps, no hassle.

Where can I get tickets for the trams and buses?

Skip the guessing. You can buy tickets directly on the tram or bus with your debit or credit card (no cash). Or grab a multi-day travel pass from GVB ticket machines at train and metro stations. Going full tourist? The GVB app lets you plan, pay, and pretend you know what you’re doing.

Your Stay

What time is check-in at each location, and can I leave my bags if I arrive early?

Check-in starts at 3 PM at all locations. If you arrive early you can leave your bags with us and go explore the city.

If you are at Frederiksplein or Nesplein you can also grab a drink or a bite at The Lobby while you wait.

What time is check-out, and can I store my bags after check-out at each hotel?

You can book a late check-out for 20 euros until 1 PM or for 40 euros until 2 PM. Just do it on our website when you book or send an email to stay@hotelv.nl.

No stress if you just want to drop your bags. Leave them at reception and keep roaming the city after check-out.

Can I bring my pet to your hotel?

We love animals, just not in our hotel. So no pets allowed. Sorry, furry friends.

What time is breakfast served at each hotel?

At Nesplein, it’s à la carte, served in the Lobby from 07:00 to 10:30. Slow start? We get it. The coffee’s strong.

At Fizeaustraat, breakfast runs from 07:00 to 10:30. Fuel up, then head out.

At Frederiksplein, it’s from 07:30 to 11:00. Sleep in. We’ll wait.

In Your Room

Do all rooms come with shampoo, conditioner, a hairdryer, etc.?

We provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion of our own brand ETIKA. There is also a hairdryer in your room, so you can leave some room in your bags for souvenirs!

Are all rooms at Hotel V air-conditioned?

We keep things cool in different ways.

At Fizeaustraat the building has climate control and you can set the temperature in your room. Fans and heaters are available on request.

At Nesplein there’s central climate control to keep the vibe steady. Every room comes with a fan and we can bring a heater if you need one.

At Frederiksplein only the Loft has air-conditioning. During the warmer months our housekeeping team takes extra steps to keep rooms comfortable. Fans are placed in the rooms and blinds are lowered to block out the heat and keep things cool.

Are there coffee and tea facilities in the rooms across all locations?

Yes, each room has a kettle and coffee machine. We offer 4 types of coffee cups by the Koffiejongens (a young and growing sustainable coffee brand) & a selection of teas by Pukka.

Is room service available at all locations?

Depends where you stay.

At Fizeaustraat and Nesplein, yes. You can order drinks and food straight to your room. Just check the room service menu for a selection from the bar and kitchen. A small fee applies.

At Fizeaustraat we serve room service daily from 12:00 to 21:30.
At Nesplein it’s available from 12:00 to 21:00 on Sundays and Mondays, and from 12:00 to 22:00 the rest of the week.

At Frederiksplein, breakfast is served in the lobby each morning and drinks are available throughout the evening at the bar area. As we operate with one host per shift, we’re focused on providing the best experience in our shared spaces, making room service unfortunately not possible. That said, the host is always happy to assist guests at the lobby bar or help with anything they might need during their stay.

Extras

Can I rent bikes at all Hotel V locations?

Yes, you can. Just swing by reception and we’ll fill you in. Bikes can’t be reserved, so it’s first come first served.

Do all hotels have a gym?

No gyms on site, but we’ve got your workout covered.

At Frederiksplein there’s a sweet deal with TrainMore next door. As a Fred guest you get 25 percent off a day pass—just 15 euros instead of 20. Mention you’re staying with us at their front desk.

At Fizeaustraat we team up with Sportcity Wibautstraat. A day pass is 15 euros and you can borrow one of our bikes for free to get there.

At Nesplein there’s no gym, but we’re always happy to help you find your fit elsewhere.

Can I book a table at the restaurant in each location?

Please do!

The Lobby at Fizeaustraat is a hit with locals. If you want to dine there, book ahead. Last minute tables are rare and we don’t want you to miss out.

The same goes for The Lobby at Nesplein. It’s a popular spot so best to reserve early. Avoid disappointment and book here: https://thelobby.nl/

Is laundry service available at every hotel?

yes, we work with an external company that does our guest laundry for us. If you provide us with the dirty laundry before 9AM, we will have it done and ready that evening at 8PM.

Can I pay with cash at any of your locations?

At Frederiksplein we no longer accept cash.

At Nesplein and Fizeaustraat we do. You can pay with cash, pin, Amex, or Mastercard.

How can I book a room with discount?

Easy. Book directly through our own website. We always offer the best price there. No middlemen, no hidden fees, just the lowest rate we have.
