Hotel V

Hotel V & The Lobby is a family-run business, 12 generations and counting, shaped by a deep-rooted love for Amsterdam’s authentic and inspiring character. With three hotels and two café-restaurants – Hotel V Frederiksplein, Hotel V Nesplein, Hotel V Fizeaustraat, The Lobby Fizeaustraat, and The Lobby Nesplein – we bring the local experience to life. A place to move, drink, eat, and taste the city as we do. Each location has its own character but shares the same dedication to craftsmanship and the signature warmth of V.

We are Amsterdammers, it’s in our blood, we want you to love our city like we do

Much Love. From Amsterdam.

The Lobby Fizeaustraat

The Lobby Fizeaustraat is all about quality, comfort, and atmosphere. A modern take on bistronomy, where classic French cuisine meets influences from Asia and Tel Aviv. Our chefs work with the best local suppliers – Lindenhoff farm, Kef cheeses, Karel Goudsblom’s bread, and fresh seafood from Jan Veerman – creating dishes that feel both refined and approachable. Expect beautifully prepared plates from our open kitchen, paired with a thoughtfully curated wine collection of 850 bottles (and counting). At The Lobby Fizeaustraat, we look after you like family – with earnest love and attention, never overdone.

The Lobby Nesplein

Rub shoulders with Amsterdammers in their adopted locale. The Lobby Nesplein is known for its warm atmosphere, thoughtful service, and a menu that plays with tradition. Expect familiar flavors with a creative twist – rooted in classic European cuisine but with a bold Amsterdam edge. Seasonal ingredients from local producers shape our dishes, from rich and refined to playful and unexpected. Sink into a soft leather sofa by the fireplace, enjoy a glass of something good, and take your time. Whether you’re here for lunch, bites, or dinner, you’ll want to linger just a little longer.

Getting Here

In which part of the city are your hotels located?

Depends which V you’re crashing at.

Fizeaustraat : Tucked away in East Amsterdam (Amsteldorp, if you want to sound local). Leafy streets, hidden gems, zero tourist traps.

Nesplein: In the heart of the city, right in the old theatre district. Steps from Dam Square, wrapped in canals. The real stage is outside your window.

Frederiksplein: Central but lowkey. Next to the canals, near the Albert Cuyp market, walking distance to Museumplein. Classic Amsterdam, minus the clichés.

What is the address of each Hotel V location?

No mysteries here, just three spots to drop your bags

Fizeaustraat: Fizeaustraat 2, right behind Amstel Station. Easy come, easy go.
Nesplein: Nes 49, just a heartbeat from Dam Square and Rokin.
Frederiksplein: Weteringschans 136, 1017 XV Amsterdam. Or V-Lofts are located in another building just around the corner!

Easy to find, impossible to forget.

In Your Room

Do all rooms come with shampoo, conditioner, a hairdryer, etc.?

We provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion of our own brand ETIKA. There is also a hairdryer in your room, so you can leave some room in your bags for souvenirs!

Are all rooms at Hotel V air-conditioned?

We keep things cool in different ways.

At Fizeaustraat the building has climate control and you can set the temperature in your room. Fans and heaters are available on request.

At Nesplein there’s central climate control to keep the vibe steady. Every room comes with a fan and we can bring a heater if you need one.

At Frederiksplein only the Loft has air-conditioning. During the warmer months our housekeeping team takes extra steps to keep rooms comfortable. Fans are placed in the rooms and blinds are lowered to block out the heat and keep things cool.
